We are a multi-award-winning family owned and operated company with over 35 years experience. We specialise in fully inclusive, coach tours for mature aged travellers Australia wide and internationally.
Specialising in small group tours
Here at O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours, we want your touring experience to be the best it can possibly be. Therefore, most of our coach tours are small group tours with passenger numbers only in the 20’s, even though our coaches have up to 36 passenger seats. This enables you to get to know your fellow travellers and tour directors even better and creates a more relaxed environment on board.
Complimentary Chauffer Driven Transfers
One thing that really sets O'Shannessy's Quality Tours apart is our complimentary chauffer driven transfers which really takes the stress out of travelling.
Victorian passengers from Greater Melbourne, Bendigo, Torquay, Ballarat, Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island and selected areas of Gippsland will be picked up from home in a private chauffeured vehicle by one of our professional drivers. At the end of your tour, you will be safely returned home with memories of a sensational tour. For passengers not within this pick up zone, or our interstate passengers, you are also warmly welcomed! You can contact our office and we can arrange alternative travel or overnight stays to enable you to join any of our tours.
No Hidden Extras
All our tours are fully inclusive, and we guarantee there will be no hidden entry fees, transfers, accommodation, or meal costs whatsoever. All our tours are priced with departure from Melbourne.

Our tour itineraries are relaxing but always interesting; we believe in seeing places properly, not rushing through; this means our tours leave you feeling like you have really seen, experienced and explored each destination.
Tour Directors
All our tours are accompanied by our tour directors/coach crew to ensure your travel experience is memorable, taking the hassle out of your travel and keeping you safe. On our tours that include flights, we also have dedicated O’Shannessy’s representatives that will assist you at the airport with your check in.
Luxury Touring Coaches
Our passengers all enjoy the comfort and safety of our large luxury touring coaches and being thoroughly looked after by our caring and friendly crew in a relaxed and spacious environment. With our reduced and re-spaced seating, you will never feel like you are in a crowd!
Worry Free Booking
Our flexible booking policy sets us apart. If a tour is cancelled by O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours for any reason, you have the option of transferring to another tour, leaving the funds on hold for a future tour of your choosing with no time limit, or you can take a full refund, but the choice is always yours.
Your Loyalty
As a thank you to our returning travellers, you receive a saving on your second and all subsequent tours with us and over time the more you travel the greater the saving. Some of our wonderful passengers have travelled with us for over 30 years, on more than 80 different tours! We love rewarding the loyalty of all our dedicated O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours customers.
Our History
The O’Shannessy family involvement in the travel industry dates back to 1967 when Laurie O’Shannessy began a school bus service in Central Victoria. In 1985 Laurie and his wife Margaret moved to the Mornington Peninsula, to expand their school bus services. They saw a demand for high quality Coach Touring and established O’Shannessy’s Tours. The personally conducted tours proved to be very popular and within a short time Laurie and Margaret were touring all over Australia. From a relatively young age Chris O’Shannessy learned the tours from his father and began working in the business driving the tour coaches.
When Laurie and Margaret retired from touring in 1997, Chris and (now wife) Bernadette continued to expand the business, offering more tour destinations and introducing some international tours.
Today O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours’ main office is situated at Rye on the Mornington Peninsula, where you are more than welcome to call in for a cuppa and meet our friendly team.
